Cricket betting syndicates linked with underworld gangs operating primarily in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka allegedly paid "protection money" to disgraced Mumbai crime branch officer, Sachin Vaze, presently being interrogated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at its Mumbai office.
